Myco Media Filter FAQ's
Yes. The MYCO is finished with a polyester based powder-coated paint or a spray on two component epoxy. It is highly chemical resistant and will last for years to come.
2. How does the MYCO know when to advance the filter paper?
When the filter media is plugged, liquid will begin to pool in the sump. Once the liquid makes contact with the level probe, the conveyor turns on for a fraction of a second indexing in clean filter media.
3. Does the MYCO need alot of maintenance?
No. Once the unit is plumbed, plugged in and the filter media is in place the MYCO will take care of itself. Periodically the filter media will need to be cut off and disposed.
4. There are grease-nipples on the bearing. Does the MYCO need to be greased often?
No. The bearings are pre-greased by the manufacturer and will not need to be greased for 1 to 2 years.
The filter media paper commonly used is 0.8 ounce or 28 micron. There are other papers available - as coarse as 200 microns or as fine as 7 microns.
6. What size of filter do I need?

Yes. There is nothing available on the market which is as unique or as effective as the MYCO filtration system.
